6. When the wall surface or the weather is too dry, you can wet the base surface with water in advance. For the base surface with strong water absorption, you can sprinkle more water. There should be no clear water before laying tiles.
2. The main points of applying strong tile adhesive (adhesive)
1. Before painting and construction, fully stir the tile adhesive, use a roller or a brush to evenly brush the tile adhesive on the back of the tile, paint evenly, and then dry naturally, the general dosage is 8-10㎡/Kg.
2. After the back glue is painted and constructed, it needs to be dried naturally for 1 to 3 hours. In low temperature or humid weather, it is necessary to increase the drying time. Press the adhesive layer with your hands to observe whether the adhesive sticks to your hands. After the adhesive is completely dry, you can proceed to the next process of construction.
3. After the tile adhesive is dry to transparent, then use tile adhesive to lay the tiles. The tiles coated with tile adhesive can effectively bond the base surface.
4. The old base surface needs to remove the dust or putty layer to expose the cement surface or concrete base surface, and then scrape and apply a thin layer of tile adhesive.
5. The tile adhesive is evenly scraped on the base surface, and it can be pasted before the tile adhesive is dry.
6. The tile back glue has strong bonding ability, which is suitable for wet paste base surface, and also suitable for the back treatment of tiles with low water absorption rate, which can effectively improve the bonding strength between tiles and base surface, and effectively solve the problem of hollowing, The phenomenon of shedding.
Question (1): What are the characteristics of tile adhesive?
The so-called tile back glue refers to a layer of emulsion-like glue that we first paint on the back of the tiles before pasting the tiles. Applying adhesive on the back of the tile is mainly to solve the problem of weak bonding of the backboard. Therefore, the back glue of the tile must have the following two characteristics.
Features ①: Tile adhesive should have a high adhesion to the back of the tile. Question (2): Why can’t the wall tiles be pasted directly after brushing the back glue?
It is not acceptable to paste directly after the back of the tile is painted with adhesive. Why can’t tiles be pasted directly? This depends on the characteristics of the tile adhesive. Because if we paste the undried tile back glue directly, the following two problems will appear.
Problem ①: The tile adhesive cannot be combined with the back of the tile. Since our tile back glue needs a certain amount of time to solidify, if it is not solidified, it will be directly coated with cement slurry or tile glue, then these painted tile back glue will be separated from the tiles and lost. Problem ②: The tile adhesive and pasting materials will be mixed together. This is because the tile back glue we painted is not completely dry, and then we directly apply cement slurry or tile adhesive on it.
