1.Features:

(1). Water retention: Since Methyl cellulose ether product can absorb a large amount of water, it can well retain the water in mortar and gypsum.

(2). Shape retention: its aqueous solution has special viscoelastic properties, which can maintain the shape of ceramic products.

(3). Lubricity: MC can reduce the friction coefficient and improve the lubricating performance of ceramic and concrete products.

(4). PH value stability: the viscosity of aqueous solution is hardly affected by acid or alkali. Its aqueous solution remains stable over a wide pH range, generally between 3.0 and 11.0.

(5). Film-forming properties: MC can form a solid, flexible and transparent film with good oil resistance.

3.Physical and Chemical Properties

Dissolving method:

First heat the water to 80-90°C, slowly add MC under continuous stirring, wait for the temperature to drop, then cool to form a uniform aqueous solution. Or add one-third to two-thirds of the required water first, heat to 80-90°C, slowly add MC under constant stirring, after expansion, add the remaining cold water, and cool down.
